Day 2 – Thur, Nov 11th – Sakkara / Egyptian Museum:We travel by luxury bus to Sakkara, Egypt’s oldest pyramid, with its temple of sound and healing, where we will do our own sound healing ritual and set the resonance for our journey. Sakkara was masterminded by Imhotep, the high priest, vizier, and architect to King Djoser during Dynasty III. This magnificent site includes other Old Kingdom tombs, among them those that hold the earliest known hieroglyphs, the Pyramid Texts that were the model for the Egyptian Book of the Dead. In the afternoon we visit the Egyptian Museum of Cairo to familiarize ourselves with the history/mythology/ and view the spiritual legacy of priests, kings, queens, scribes and healers. The museum holds an astounding collection of Egyptian antiquities and exhibits over 120,000 artifacts, including those from the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Day 3 – Fri, Nov 12th – Sphinx / Cairo / Luxor / Luxor temple:In the early morning, we begin our spiritual journey with a private morning ceremony between the paws of the Sphinx, the Guardian of the Mysteries, and explore the Pyramids on the Giza Plateau. Nothing can prepare you for your first connection to this ancient ground. In the afternoon we take our short flight fly to Luxor. Upon arrival, we check in on our boat the Dahabeya Afandina. In the evening we visit the Temple of Luxor and work with the brilliance of the human body.
Day 4 – Sat, Nov 13th – Luxor temple / West Bank / Valley of Kings / Hatshepsut temple:In the morning we take a second visit to Temple of Luxor – this is such an epic temple and so different at night to in the morning, we wanted to give ourselves the opportunity to really experience it. In the afternoon we visit Deir el Bahari, the funerary temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, the champion of the merchant priesthood, together they brought Egypt to a level of peace and prosperity not experienced before. We also visit the Necropolis of Thebes on the West Bank of the Nile. Andthe mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.
Day 5 – Sun, Nov 14th – Abydos / Dendera Temples:In the morning we head to the temple of Abydos, dedicated to Osiris and housing the nine great beings (the Ennead). This temple rests next to and above the most ancient Osirion, one of the premier power places on the planet. It contains the most beautiful bas relief of any temple in Egypt.We then visit Dendera the exquisite temple dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of abundance, love and joy. This is also where the best Statue of the God Bes (the god of commerce and the midwives) is, we will do a special ritual with him. The temple is built with a zodiacal ceiling that recalls the origins of Egypt. On the rooftop where Hathor priests and priestesses gathered for their celebrations thousands of years ago, we reconnect to our destinies and do a ritual of celebration.
Day 6 – Mon, Nov 15th – Karnak temple / Sailing from Luxor to Esna / Esna’s Lock:We begin the day with an early Sunrise visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple. This temple is aligned to light up at sunrise with the Winter Solstice and is the reason we chose these dates for this trip. Karnak is the biggest temple complex in Egypt. We also visit the sacred lake of Karnak, ask for purification, and place your intention, in your mind’s eye into the lake. Outside the main halls is a small chapel dedicated to Sekhmet, her consort Ptah and their son Nefertum. Sekhmet is the lioness Goddess of compassion and courage. She is associated with feminine fire and healing through destruction. She is a renowned healer and known for her magic and ability to hunt down an imbalance at its origin. In a potent private initiation, we will honor the Goddess and receive the gift of courage to be our authentic selves. We will then breakfast while sailing toward Esna and passing Esna’s Lock.
Day 7 – Tue, Nov 16th – Sail to Edfu / Edfu temple:We sail to Edfu, where we visit the Temple of Horus, one of the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. When you approach the temple complex, you become aware of its enormous dimensions, with a vast courtyard, a forest of towering columns and high ceilings. Horus is associated with higher vision and clarity. In a private empowerment, we will work with balancing the lunar and the solar energies inside of us and awaken our intuitive centers to be able to experience a higher perspective.
Overnight EdfuDay 8 & 9 – Wed & Thur, Nov 17&18th – Sailing & Training Days:Mornings of relaxation on the Afandina to refresh, and recharge your soul. Jump into the jacuzzi and listen to your favorite music on the sound system and enjoy your companions. In the afternoon we will gather for a group meditation and discussion. 2 days of innerwork and ceremony aboard the Afandina. Ending with our arrival in Aswan.
Day 10 – Fri, Nov 19th – Philae / Isis temple:In the early morning, we will have our private sunrise meditation and ritual as we return to the source of all, the Great Mother, to receive the blessings of the Goddess Isis at her beautiful island temple at Philae. This isle represents a fusion of three great civilizations – Egyptian, Greek, and Roman. The presence of Isis is palpable in the inner sanctum, the Holy of Holies of her temple.At lunchtime, we check in the Historical Old Cataract hotel.
Day 11 – Sat, Nov 20th – Flucca Ride / Aswan Market:Free morning in Aswan, the pearl of the Nile. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a felucca ride and have time to enjoy the colorful Nubian Market in the streets of Aswan.
Day 12 – Sun, Nov 21st – Aswan / Cairo / Khan El Khallili Bazaar:A short flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, we visit Khan El Khallili Bazaar One of the oldest shopping districts in the world, the Khan El Khalili, is like going back to the time of Ali Baba and Aladdin. Merchants have been trading on this site since at least the 14th century. Then we check back into the Mena House hotel.
Day 13 – Mon, Nov 22nd – Great Pyramid / Farewell dinner:In the morning we will have a special private visit inside the Great Pyramid with a culminating initiation in the King’s chamber. In the evening we have our Farewell dinner to share our Egyptian experience.
Day 14 – Tue, Nov 23rd – Final Departure:Transfer to Cairo airport for final departure.
